Last month, my husband and I took the train to London for a couple of days primarily to see Lizzie McAlpine at the Hammersmith Apollo. Lizzie was absolutely amazing - so down-to-earth and modest with such a stunningly beautiful voice.
The concert was followed by a wander through the streets of London and eventually turned into a delightful adventure down memory lane at Liberty. The store holds so much charm and nostalgia, especially knowing that PomPom (my grandad) once worked there. The haberdashery department must have been a treasure trove of creativity and inspiration for him.
During our visit, I was captivated by the festive atmosphere and the intricate displays. The Liberty fabric remnants I was lucky enough to find were an amazing discovery and sparked ideas for crafting unique little Christmas stockings. I plan to wrap them up for friends and family for Christmas (with a curly wurly poking out the top!), and maybe there might be a few left for sale on my website or in my Strawberry Cottage Studio?
Overall, the trip to London turned out to be more than just a concert experience. It was a blend of music, memories, and creative inspiration, making it a truly special journey. 'Til the next time...
